Patrick Bras is an Oregon-based author, husband, father, grandfather, and storyteller who believes the greatest adventures often begin in ordinary places.
After decades of collecting stories, ideas, and unforgettable characters, Patrick decided to bring the worlds he had imagined to life. The result is the Pikki Likki Saga — a series built on adventure, mystery, friendship, and the kind of wonder that doesn't fade with age.
Inspired by timeless adventures like The Goonies, Treasure Island, and Indiana Jones, Patrick writes stories filled with mystery, friendship, courage, and wonder — designed for readers of every generation. When he isn't writing, Patrick works as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager, enjoys spending time with his family, creates Saturday pancake adventures with his grandchildren, and continues dreaming up the next mystery waiting just beyond the map.

Where did the idea for the Winona come from?
It started with a simple thought: what if there was an ordinary creek behind a neighborhood that led to something extraordinary? That image stayed with me until the whole story built around it.
Are the characters based on real people?
Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Wyatt each carry pieces of real personalities I've known and admired — the curious observer, the loyal heart, the fearless leaper. They're fictional, but they feel very real to me.
What age group is The Secret of the Winona for?
Honestly? Anyone who loves adventure. The story is written to be enjoyed by middle-grade readers but I've heard from adults who couldn't put it down either. Good adventure doesn't have an age limit.
How many books will be in the Pikki Likki Saga?
Four books are currently planned, each expanding the world a little further. But there may be more adventures waiting beyond even that.
